If a man suddenly disappears while doing his work! It seems surprising. But if a person disappears like this and is never found again! And if this man is not a common man but a Prime Minister! In this situation, many questions arise in our mind like someone has kidnapped them? Or someone killed them? So let’s find out what actually happened that the Prime Minister disappeared.
Something similar happened to Australia’s 17th Prime Minister Harold Edward Holt. Harold Edward Holt took over as Prime Minister of Australia on 26 January 1966 when Robert Menzies, Australia’s longest-serving Prime Minister, resigned. He was elected impartially by his party.
According to some articles, Harold Edward Holt was also a sportsman and fisherman. And the reason for his fame was also an athlete. He was also an Australian rules footballer in his youth. But he had to give up football due to repeated injuries to his hamstring.
He was also very colorful in his life. He was also in a relationship with a woman for a while. He also fathered twins with his university girlfriend. But his girlfriend married another man, but she later divorced him and married Harold Edward Holt.
One day when his press secretary Tony urged him to be careful in the water, he said “Look Tony, is there a chance the Prime Minister could drown or be taken by a shark?” Saying this removed Tony’s worry.

The headlines in The Australian newspaper on 17 December 1967 read “PM advised to swim less.” – His doctor advised him to rest from swimming and tennis for a while.
On this day i.e. 17th December in the morning he decided to go swimming without any fear. He and four friends (one of whom was Marjorie Gillespie, with whom he was having an affair) went for a drive and finished the drive at Cheviot Beach. This beach was commonly used for military training. And even Harold Edward Holt was allowed to swim there. Only the badges of the four went into the water because it was slippery and Harold Edward Holt was carried quickly into the sea where Harold Edward Holt suddenly disappeared from view and was never seen again.
Thus, as soon as the Prime Minister disappeared, different kinds of rumors started spreading in the country. Due to dead bodies and lack of evidence, these stories spread far and wide. According to the then law, if there is no dead body, then there is no tapas. Holt was accompanied by security when he was on official errands. But security does not stay with its personnel when they are at work. According to rumors, the disappearance of Prime Minister Harold Edward Holt was no coincidence but a plan. However, Holt’s wife later stated that this security arrangement was to hide her affair.
Many different predictions were made by different people after this incident. Some of whose predictions are shown below.

Key Assumptions:
He committed suicide
Rumors circulated that Holt committed suicide due to pressure from the CIA not to let anyone know about his affair or to not leave Vietnam. But Holt’s family and friends were adamant that he did not commit suicide.
He was a Chinese spy and faked his own death.
According to author Anthony Gray’s book “The Prime Minister Was a Spy”, he worked for the Chinese government throughout his career, sharing secrets with Beijing.
When he felt that the matter was about to be exposed, he arranged for Chinese divers to secretly leave by submarine, so that he could spend the rest of his life in peace in China. But the book was much mocked, as it was impossible to bring a submarine close to Chiviot Beach.
He was killed by the CIA
When Holt took office, Australia was already involved in the Vietnam War. And he was an ardent advocate of war, with four times the number of Australian troops stationed there. He was Lyndon B. Johnson was also a friend, a friendship that could prove dangerous in Australia, especially as public support for the war waned. Did the CIA kill him because he was about to get Australian forces out of Vietnam? Probably not!
He was killed by the North Vietnamese
Same reason as above, but different culprits, probably still not.
